Ideas
This page provides .pdf links to disclosures that I have made for various invention ideas. These are in
need of funding for further development. If you would like more information on
any of the inventions, please view my [CV] for complete contact information.

Past Ideas (Miscellaneous Projects)
Design and Construction of an EKG for AV Graft Dog Studies, winter 2003
Make improved ekg from scratch
I need to learn more about how to use op-amps so I am making a EKG from scratch. Various improvements will be made to the generic EKG design. These include:
1. Voltage spike protection
2. LED on/off indicator
3. Increased amplification using
differential instrumentation amp in last gain stage
4. Positive feedback loop to increase frequency bandwidth
5. Implement higher order filter in last gain stage
6. Reverse power hook up protection
Non-invasive Measurement of Intra-cranial Pressure,
Winter 2003
Make a device that can measure Intra-cranial Pressure non-invasively
3D Quantum Dot Hydrophone, spring
2004
Make a hydrophone using quantum dots suspended in an aqueous solution
Design a directionally sensitive hydrophone that uses a technique similar to
laser anemometry to detect sound in water.
Biomimetic Acoustic Sensor Using Carbon Nanotubes,
spring 2004
Make an acousic sensor using an array of carbon nanotubes.
This idea is a rip off of work that is being done at the NASA JPL under direction
of Noca Flavio. The following presentation is a summary of their work and the general principe of how a quantum scale acoustic sensor might work.
Epithelial Cell Growth on Compliant Biomaterial (Nusil CF11),
spring 2004
Determine if cells can be grown on cf11 elastomer, brainstorm uses in flexible flow models.
Fiber-optic Quantum Dot Probe for Biological Monitoring Applications,
winter 2003-2004
Make a fiber-optic probe that continuously monitors the light emission from
quantum dots.
